US Debate Team Has Final Debate of Fall Season

On Saturday, November 12, the US Debate Team participated in its last tournament of the fall season. The tournament took place at New Canaan High School and followed the Connecticut Debate Association format. More than two hundred teams debated a resolution about the Dakota Access Pipeline. Chloe Kekedjian '18 and Bilal Memon '18 won all three of their rounds and placed sixth in the varsity bracket based on their speaker scores. Marco Volpitta '20 and Lucas Manocherian '20 also won their three debates and placed fourth in the novice bracket.

The Debate Team will resume practices for the winter season after Thanksgiving, and will welcome a number of new members.
