Lunch & Lead: Jen Gabler and Janis Collins of The Refinery

V. Parker
On December 8, The Refinery Co-Founders Jen Gabler and Janis Collins spoke with Upper School students during the Center for Leadership’s Lunch & Lead. The Refinery was founded in 2014 with the goal of helping early-stage, high-growth, women-run companies. With more than 25 years of experience in the financial industry, both Gabler and Collins talked about working in male-dominated businesses. With the belief companies started by women are undervalued, they have raised funds, established a mentoring program and led intensive workshops to support these growing businesses and leaders. They also shared inspirational stories and a video about the Refinery’s recent UberPITCH rides contest for female entrepreneurs.

Jen Gabler is parent to Haley '20 and Toby Bloch '23. The CFL Lunch & Lead series is an Upper School student-run program which brings in speakers from an array of fields throughout the year.
