On Wednesday, five World Language teachers from Choate Rosemary Hall independent school came to observe St. Luke’s innovative language classes. They sat in on our French, Latin, Spanish and Mandarin classes, met with various teachers and participated in some of our School’s daily life.
St. Luke’s was selected as one of the schools to visit because of its various interactive, immersive, and blended (half online, half face-to-face) language courses. After a full day of being part of the St. Luke’s community, the teachers from Choate shared that they were impressed with the vibrancy of the overall language program and its teachers, as well as the exciting innovations that are being implemented throughout the department. From the blended level 1 courses to the use of technology in classes to the self-paced, mastery-based Latin Omnibus program, there was much to observe.
