Leaders Among Us: Architect Amanda Martocchio

NBT
St. Luke’s students organize Lunch & Lead events featuring accomplished professional from varied fields. The goal is to demystify leadership and share insights into how different people take many paths to their own version of success.

This week, award-winning architect Amanda Martocchio spoke with students about her journey and eventual success in creating Amanda Martocchio Architecture and Design. Martocchio, a St. Luke’s parent and trustee, told students she saw a strong connection between architecture and leadership: “What does leadership have to do with architecture? Architects have to build consensus. They not only need a vision, but they have to convince people it’s a good idea.”

Last week, Martocchio’s firm was named a finalist in for the 2017  Innovation in Design Awards.
