Whole Lot of Holi Fun

V. Parker
On Saturday, May 20, the St. Luke's community celebrated its version of the Holi Festival. Holi is a traditional Indian festival of colors and is celebrated to eliminate conflict and welcome the spring season. All proceeds of the St. Luke’s Holi Festival went to Uplift Humanity India, which is an organization that fights juvenile incarceration in India.

In the late morning, students gathered in the senior parking lot and quickly transformed their white attire into an array of rainbow colors after the colored powder started flying. St. Luke’s Holi Festival also included fun frisbee and ball games on the field and music played by St. Luke’s own DJ Dylan Johnson ‘20.

This 2nd annual student council-run event was a fun way to raise awareness about Holi Festival and money for a good cause.
