9th Graders Create Podcasts for MET Museum Tour

St. Luke’s students saw first-hand artifacts and works of art from some of the eras they studied throughout the year.
From 9th Grade Class Dean Abby Abbott:

Eighty-two 9th graders and ten chaperones headed into NYC on Wednesday, May 30, to visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art. In preparation for this field trip, students created original podcasts which Academic Technologist Matt Bavone then compiled into audio guides. Students used their phones to listen to the audio guides as they toured around the Egyptian, Greco-Roman, Southeast Asian, African, the Americas, Islamic World, and Near Eastern Galleries.

These student audio guides can be accessed through Spreaker Podcast Radio and are a great community resource for your next visit to the MET Museum. Students were excited to see works of ancient art in person and take selfie 'face-swap' photos to enter in our annual end-of-year contest.
