St. Luke’s Sophomores “Elves”

VGP
From Center for Leadership Director Kate Parker-Burgard:

Did you ever wonder what the sophomores do all day when they go to Inspirica for a Saturday in December? The best way to describe it is that they become elves, busily working behind the scenes to organize the gifts that are wrapped at Inspirica’s Big Wrap event.

While hundreds of volunteers come to Inspirica on that day to wrap thousands of presents for children being served by dozens of agencies throughout lower Fairfield County, our St. Luke’s sophomores create a human chain to transport those gifts down a flight of stairs and into an abandoned pool where they then sort the gifts into piles ready for pick up by the different nonprofits who come to collect them before Christmas.

Here’s a video showing the journey of these thousands of holiday gifts.
