The Idea

Rube Goldberg: "A comically involved, complicated invention, laboriously contrived to perform a simple operation." (Webster's New World Dictionary)

For us, it's a simple equation:
A SERIOUS CHALLENGE + FUN + TEAMWORK = ST. LUKE'S 4TH ANNUAL RUBE GOLDBERG CHALLENGE!

The Task

It's time to bring out the architect/inventor/dreamer/builder in you—your Rube Goldberg machine must achieve this simple, yet monumental task:

Water a Plant

The Team

Each team must have 4 people, in any combination of current St. Luke’s students, parents/grandparents, faculty members, or alumni.

Competition & Awards

Machine setup will take place on Wednesday, April 29 in the Middle School Gym, with competition and judging that afternoon immediately after school. Competitors will run and display their machines to the community in an after-school expo on Thursday, April 30, and the winners will be announced in school on Friday, May 1.
