Center for Leadership

Find your voice. Make a difference.

St. Luke’s mission is an exceptional education that inspires a deep love of learning, a strong moral compass, the commitment to serve and the confidence to lead. St. Luke's Center for Leadership (CFL) advances our mission by helping students develop exceptional leadership ability.

Starting in fifth-grade, children begin to learn and practice what it means to be ethical and empathetic leaders. Year by year, through signature leadership experiences, their confidence to lead grows

The CFL helps students build skills that open the door to authentic leadership: effective speaking and listening, social and emotional agility, creative problem-solving and collaboration.

A Distinct Approach to Leadership

The CFL develops this ability through four leadership lenses: Design Mindset, Inclusive Ethos, Global Perspective, and Service Orientation.

Jim Foley, Assistant Head of School for Leadership & Innovation

Many students complete their formal education without ever learning leadership skills. St. Luke’s students begin learning leadership in 5th grade. As they move through school, students become clear and persuasive communicators, they learn that collaboration with diverse individuals yields powerful results, creativity trumps most challenges, and service offers us purpose and satisfaction."

Leadership Lab: "The Power of Brand"

Imagine learning how to launch a concept before you've even left high school. The CFL creates Leadership Lab experiences to connect students with powerhouses from diverse fields including business, arts, and philanthropy. In one student's words: "This was like the real world."
