Hard Fought Loss to Kennedy Catholic

St. Luke’s JV Boys traveled to Kennedy Catholic on Friday. The two teams were evenly matched and at the end of the first half the score was tied nil, nil. Though St. Luke’s couldn’t get their offense working, their defense, led by goalie Matt Laguzza, who racked up 12 impressive saves, held Kennedy Catholic at bay. Unfortunately, our opponent came out strong in the second half and quickly took a three goal lead. Andrew Lau fired back with a goal off an assist from Max Mitchell but it was too little too late. Despite the loss, St. Luke’s left it all out on the field and should be proud of the effort put forth in the match.
