Spirited Special Olympics

VGP
From Director of Character Education Kate Parker-Burgard:

This year marked the 10th Annual Special Olympics Basketball Tournament at St. Luke’s School. Ten teams came to campus to compete and as usual the festivities included a tunnel of our students welcoming the special athletes into the Athletic Center. Everyone brought their good spirit and big hearts to the games as we cheered on some enthusiastic players enjoying the sport of basketball.

The Special Olympics experience was nicely summarized by Claire Wilson ’18 who said, "we took all of our school spirit and applied it toward a good cause." It’s been ten years of inspiring games and we look forward to many more years to come.
