St. Luke’s Students Participate in Model UN

VGP
From Model UN Advisor Abby Bielski:

Last weekend, St. Luke’s Model United Nations team participated in the annual Global Classroom’s MUN (Model United Nations) Conference in New York City. Our group joined 4,000 high school students from 26 countries. To prepare for the conference, students worked hard drafting position papers on a wide variety of topics from the perspective of Azerbaijan and St. Lucia delegations. St. Luke’s participants sponsored resolutions and flexed their intellect by taking the lead role in their moderated caucuses. They also passed two resolutions.

The list of committees and topics included the following:

Economic Commission for Europe (ECE)
Eurozone crisis and its effects on the global eco
Charley Whiteley and Paul Woodberry, Azerbaijan

Educational, Scientific, & Cultural Organization (UNESCO)
