St. Luke’s Welcomes New Head Varsity Field Hockey Coach Taylor Hedges

Dan Lyons
After an exhaustive search, St. Luke’s is happy to announce that Taylor Hedges will be taking over as the school’s next head varsity field hockey coach this fall.
Taylor, a native of Longmeadow, MA, has extensive coaching experience at various levels in the area and looks to bring energy, passion, and great teaching to the sidelines. Taylor has coached at New Canaan Country School, as well as Fairfield County United, where she has worked with teams from the U12 to U19 divisions, and has had the chance to work with an international, Olympic level coaching staff. She also has experience working with Nike and Revolution field hockey summer camps.

Taylor played collegiate field hockey at Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, MA, where she was an academic All-American and a member of the All-NEWMAC Conference team.

Taylor looks forward to stepping on the field this season and developing the St. Luke’s program into one of the premiere field hockey teams in the FAA and New England. She is focused on a ground-up approach, and will be involved with helping develop athletes from the middle school level through to varsity.

Taylor looks forward to meeting returning members of the field hockey program on campus next week.
