St. Luke’s Debaters Take On Tournaments

St. Luke’s Debate sent four students to the UPenn Liberty Bowl Classic February 12-14. The teams debated strongly against students from 95 schools from around the country. St. Luke's team members debated topics focused on a variety of issues from refugees to US-Iranian relations as well as US presidential politics. Alex Levy '16 was 8th speaker overall and the team of Eliza Posner '16 and Chloe Kekedjian '18 placed 2nd overall.  

St. Luke’s Debate also had six debaters qualify for the CT State Debate Tournament on April 2 at Wilton High School. Hunter Conetta '19 and Andres Falcon '19 will represent St. Luke's in the Novice Debate division while Alex Levy '16, Bilal Memon '18, Chloe Kekedjian '18 and Eliza Posner '18 will compete in the Varsity Debate division.
