St. Luke's Boys Varsity Basketball defeated King 78-48 on Monday evening. The Storm got off to a hot start and never looked back, opening the game with an 18-0 run. Senior Andrew Varoli led 6 Storm double-figure scorers with 15 points on five three-pointers. Senior co-captains Jonas Harper and Jackson Ryan added 13 and 12 respectively. Scott Vollmer scored a season-high 12, while Jah'khi Washington and Jackson Selvala each added 11. Cole Bryant added 4 points and Andrew Lau scored 2 on two free throws to round out the Storm scoring. St. Luke's moved to 2-0 in FAA play with the win. The Storm returns to the hardwood on Friday afternoon at the Basketball Hoopfest Showcase in Springfield, MA. St. Luke's will take on Class A power Suffield at 5:15pm on Friday. Class AAA Lee Academy awaits the Storm on Saturday morning at 11am. Both games will be played at the South End Community Center.
