St. Luke’s Seniors Inducted Into Cum Laude Society

St. Luke’s School's 2019 Cum Laude Society Induction Ceremony was held on Thursday, April 25.

Seniors inducted into the St. Luke’s chapter included:

This year's Cum Laude inductees plan to attend the following colleges and universities:

Colgate University
Dartmouth College
Massachusetts Institute of Technology
New York University
Stanford University
Williams College
Vanderbilt University

The Cum Laude Society was founded in 1906 and modeled on Phi Beta Kappa at the collegiate level. Dr. Abram W. Harris of the Tome School in Maryland decided to recognize scholastic achievement of students in secondary schools. Seven schools were given founding charters in the organization, and more than 350 schools are charter members today. The motto of the society is Arete, Dike, Time—Excellence, Justice, Honor.
