Lunch & Lead Returns to the Hilltop

S.A.
The St. Luke’s Lunch & Lead program provides an opportunity for Upper School students and faculty to come together over lunch and chat with accomplished guests about their professional journeys. The guests share stories about what they do and how they got to where they are and engage in conversation with the students. This year, our Lunch & Lead planning team—Myles Sead ‘23, Liv Woodruff ‘23, and Ms. Parker-Burgard—is partnering with clubs, activities, and classes to draw a wider audience and deliver even more meaningful discussions at this year’s  Lunch & Leads.

To that end, we’re happy to announce the first two speakers of the year: Patricia Chadwick P’12 and Ali Jaffe ‘10.

Ms. Chadwick has published the memoir, Little Sister, about her fascinating childhood being raised in a cult. She is currently working on another memoir, Breaking Glass, about her career on Wall Street at a time when few women had leadership positions.

Chadwick is the founder and president of Ravengate Partners LLC, a consulting firm dedicated to providing businesses and not-for-profit organizations with education and advice about the financial markets and global economy. Her Lunch & Lead will be co-led by the SLS Feminist Club and take place on Monday, Sept. 27, during US lunch. SLS students interested in attending are asked to register here so that we can anticipate numbers for our space (and ordering pizza)!

Ms. Jaffe, a St. Luke’s School graduate, worked and wrote for Rolling Stone, The New York Times, and Philadelphia Inquirer, before starting her career as a producer for The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. Her visit to St. Luke’s School will be co-led by The Sentinel (Ms. Jaffe was editor-in-chief of The Sentinel when she was at St. Luke’s) and take place on Friday, Oct. 1, during US lunch. SLS students interested in attending are asked to register here so that we can anticipate numbers for our space (and ordering pizza)! You can listen to Ms. Jaffe on this episode of The New York Times’s podcast The Daily.
