Mary Halpin Carter Visits the Hilltop

On Friday, Jan. 28, St. Luke’s faculty, staff, and students had the opportunity to spend time on the Hilltop with Head of School-elect Mary Halpin Carter

The morning kicked off with a faculty and staff meet-and-greet, where Mary gave brief remarks before mixing and mingling. Mary shared her excitement about getting to know every member of the faculty and staff during her visits and when she officially begins her new role in July. Throughout the day, Mary met with members of the Administrative Team and Strategic Plan Working Groups.

Before the school day ended, Mary popped into some classes, including designLab, science, and theater arts, where she observed St. Luke’s academics in action and had the chance to interact with the students.

On Friday afternoon, Mary accompanied St. Luke’s Director of Athletics Mike West and Sports Information Specialist Dan Clarke to two home games, boys varsity squash and girls varsity basketball.
