Storm To Celebrate Winter Seniors

Starting in early February, the St. Luke’s athletics department will celebrate and thank its senior athletes across all winter sports. A total of 27 seniors will be honored, with the sole ski senior recognized first. 

On Tuesday, Feb.1, senior skier Dakota Kelly was celebrated prior to the team’s race at Mount Southington, where Athletic Director Mike West highlighted the impact Kelly has had on the program and presented her with a commemorative plaque.

St. Luke’s will commemorate the five hockey senior athletes on Monday, Feb. 7, prior to the team’s game against Hamden Hall at Sono Ice House. The five seniors are Colt Alford, Jack Dolan, Jared Kramer, Henry Robb, and Will Winalski.

Girls squash will recognize its group of eight seniors on Wednesday, Feb. 9, at their home contest against Hopkins School. Caitlin Neafsey, Olivia Jones, Layla Magnusen, Sloan Barker, Ashley Barton, Annika Bonwetsch, Catherine Clark, and Jessican Hausman will be honored before their matches get underway.

On Monday, Feb. 14, the Storm will acknowledge Sean Clemons, Aren Cummings, Connor Cummings, Ryan Frank, Josh Harper, Fritz Laibe, and Michael Riley for their contributions to the boys basketball program. The seven seniors will be celebrated prior to the huge FAA contest against Brunswick School. 

The final senior day of the winter is reserved for girls basketball on Thursday, Feb. 17 when Caroline Lau, Sophie Blomberg, Kiera Williams, Andrea DiTeodoro, Sadie Lemkau, and Megan Stute will be recognized for their hard work and dedication.
