Postseason Playoff Picture

The Fairchester Athletic Association (FAA) postseason tournaments for winter sports take place next week, with St. Luke’s hockey and boys and girls basketball all in action.

SLS puck, No. 3 seed for the playoffs, hosts Hamden Hall on Tuesday, Feb. 22, at Sono Ice House at 3pm. The two teams met earlier in the season with St. Luke’s winning the contest 8-3. The Storm hopes for a similar result to advance to Thursday’s semifinal, which will take place at Rye Country Day School. 

The final of the FAA Hockey Tournament will take place on Saturday, Feb. 26. 

Girls varsity basketball takes the No. 1 seed for its tournament after an undefeated FAA regular season. The Storm hosts Masters School (New York) or Hopkins School on Tuesday, Feb. 22, with a potential semifinal on Thursday, Feb. 24. St. Luke’s will also host the final on Saturday, Feb. 24, if the team advances.

Boys varsity basketball finished the regular season in second place, with a bye to the semifinals. The Storm faces either Hamden Hall or Greens Farms Academy on Thursday, Feb. 24, inside Carey Gymnasium. The final for boys basketball will take place on Saturday, Feb. 24, at the home of the highest seed.

St. Luke’s boys and girls varsity squash teams cap off their respective seasons at the 2022 U.S. High School Team Squash Championships in Pennsylvania. The girls matches will take place at the University of Pennsylvania on Friday, Feb. 27, Saturday, Feb. 28, and Sunday, Feb. 29. The boys team is waiting to see what venue they will be assigned after the draw takes place on Tuesday, Feb. 24.
