Tennis - Varsity Boys

The St. Luke’s Varsity tennis team had its second match against KLHT on Monday, May 9, again falling in a closely contested match by the same 4-3 score.
As was the case in the first meeting between the two teams, the Storm took the top three singles matches with co-captain Roy Skinner beating KLHT’s Billy Smithline (6-3, 6-4), co-captain Luke Osherow edging Hudson Cole (7-5, 6-), and Gardner Tregellas defeating Tyler Murray 5-7, 6-2, 6-4.
Playing number four singles, the Storm’s Wiley Veshlage fell to Christian Descahpelles 6-3, 6-3. In doubles, the St. Luke’s team of Ethan Pearce and Jake Hamill were beaten by Chris Cieszko and David Meyer 7-6, 6-2, while the number two team of George Congdon and Justin Hart lost to Tom Rosenfeld and Alex Streich 6-1, 6-4. Att number three doubles, Ian Buckley and Alex Chang were defeated by Jared McInerny and Marc Lupinacci 6-1, 6-3.
