St. Luke’s and Brunswick have battled atop the FAA standings for the better part of the last decade, making yesterday’s victory over the defending FAA champions at the Country Club of New Canaan incredibly important in the Storm’s quest for a league title.
Jacob Henny ’13 played in the top spot for St. Luke’s and shot a match-low 31. Cameron Chottiner ’16 and Jackson Kleinert ’13 each earned a point for St. Luke’s as well, shooting scores of 35 and 39 respectively. Mike Kochanski ’13 earned half of a point with his 38. Jake Hamill ’13 and Alex Kamisher ’13 rounded out the six-man team for St. Luke’s, registering scores of 46 and 42. Overall, St. Luke’s totalled 185 strokes to Brunswick’s 198, and captured a 6.5-2.5 victory. SLS is now 2-0 on the season and takes the course again on Thursday against Hamden Hall.
