Leadership Studies Across the Globe

VGP
From Leadership Studies Teacher, Sandra Comas PhD, MBA

During the Thanksgiving break, I was in Madrid teaching leadership to 45 students from around the world. This was my sixth stint as a Visiting Professor at the IE Business School, a top international business school. The class drew students from 21 nations: China, Japan, India, South Korea, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Egypt, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, Argentina, Switzerland, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Denmark, Jamaica, and the U.S. Together, we studied many dimensions of leadership across cultures and time periods. Students worked both individually and in groups to develop skills and deepen their understanding of leadership today, the past, and their future. I learned as much from them as they did from me—and I get to share this knowledge with my students right here on the Hilltop.
