St. Luke’s lost a ticky-tacky game against Brunswick in its home opener. Cooper Truwit played very solidly offensively and defensively while the defensive unit as a whole stepped up their intensity and communication. On the offensive end, Jack Halsey connected with a cutting Christopher Besgen and Jack Brooks ran one in unassisted. On the whole, the offense had struggles maintaining possession, but did a better job moving the ball and moving off ball then they had previously. As the defense got tired over time, they couldn’t react to dangerous balls as effectively and gave up less than impressive goals. Again, the team’s intensity, effort, and drive spelled a close game, but they came up just short. The Storm will go on the road for their next game against Masters on Tuesday.
