PA Speaker Series- Robin DiAngelo: "Seeing the Racial Water"

Please join us to hear Dr. Robin DiAngelo, Affiliate Associate Professor of Education at the University of Washington, discuss what it means to be white in a society that proclaims race meaningless yet is deeply divided by race? Dr. Robin DiAngelo will address:
  • the way race shapes the lives of White people
  • explain what makes racism so hard for White people to see
  • identify common White racial patterns that prevent us from moving towards greater racial equity
Weaving information, analysis, stories, images, and familiar examples, Dr. DiAngelo will help provide the community with the framework needed to develop white racial literacy. This event is co-hosted with Division Heads Liz Perry (Upper School) and Amber Berry (Middle School). Light refreshments will be available starting at 6:00pm. Dr. DiAngelo will begin here remarks at 6:30pm.
