Katie Rothschild

Katie attended Brown University where she studied the History of Art and Architecture. Her early career began at the Guggenheim Museum in Development and Special Projects. She worked for six years in the independent and public schools of New York City; initially as a Kindergarten teacher and then as an Art and Art History teacher. Katie holds a Masters of Science in Art Education from Pratt Institute of Art with a focus on Museum Education and visitor experience.
 
She has been actively involved in her community. While living in the Bay Area, she was involved with the Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito, CA. She was president of the BADM Council, an auxiliary board, and served on the Executive Committee of the Museum board from 2010-2016. She also served as a board member for Children of Shelters in San Francisco, CA from 2014-2019. In San Francisco, Katie was involved in her children’s schools as a volunteer and most recently worked on a capital campaign for a new campus.
 
Katie and her husband, James, live in New Canaan and are parents to Lily ’26 and Wilson ’29. Their younger siblings, Cameron and Henry, are at New Canaan Country School.
