Harry W. Earle '42 - Football, basketball, baseball

Harry Earle '42 graduated from St. Luke’s in 1942 after starring in all 3 sports offered at the time; football, basketball, and baseball. According to King Whitney, SLS Class of 1943, Harry was “a sensational athlete, was of outstanding personal character, and was a leader in everything he did. The whole school looked up to him and he was the most popular kid in school”. After St. Luke’s, Harry went to Williams College and was there for one year before enlisting in the Army Air Force in 1943. Between 1943 and 1945, Harry flew over 50 missions across Southern Europe and received the Distinguished Flying Cross for his service. Following WWII, Harry returned to Williams where he completed his Bachelor's degree, and swam, sailed, and played tennis for the Ephs, all while raising two young children with his wife Barbara.
