St. Luke’s Rowers Finish Season at Regionals

The St. Luke’s Competitive Club Crew team, which competes as a part of New Canaan Crew, finished their season at the Northeast Regionals in Lowell, Massachusetts this past weekend.
 
Jenna Froland ’15 participated in the Women’s Youth 2x, where her boat finished in fifth place of the semifinals, with a time of 8:30.94.  She also raced in the Women’s Youth 4x, where the New Canaan boat finished in first place at 8:18.40 in the final.
 
Graham Mink ’13 and Steven Gerasimoff ’13 raced in the Men’s Youth 4x and finished in second in the final race, less than four seconds behind race winner Narragansett, good for the silver medal.
 
The JV boat, which included Andrew Langalis ’15, Peter Zamsky ’15, and coxswain Sheetal Akole ’13 made up for a slow start to finish less than a second off the pace to qualify for the final race of the Men’s Youth 4+, finishing fourth in their heat at 7:19.18.
 
Perry Barringer ’15 led the JV boat racing in the Men’s Youth 3rd 8+, which finished in second behind Essex, picking up the silver medal.
