St. Luke’s Names Katie Egan As New Varsity Volleyball Coach

Dan Lyons
St. Luke’s is pleased to announce Katie Egan as its next head girls varsity volleyball coach. Katie, a long-time Connecticut resident, brings extensive experience coaching with the Connecticut Juniors as both a head coach and an assistant. She has also coached with former St. Luke’s head coach Peter Georgiou, and has familiarity with a number of the current Storm players and the program as a whole.

Katie is an alumna of St. Joseph’s High School in Trumbull, and played some Volleyball at both the Division II and intramural levels at Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire. She currently works as a special education teacher at Fairfield Ludlowe High School.

Katie is very excited for the upcoming season, and expects to build on the success that the program has had over the last few years: “This upcoming year is going to be a lot of hard work, and with hard work we’ll be able to have great success and pick up right where the team left off last season.”
