St. Luke's Athletic Awards Night 2018

Dan Clarke
The St. Luke’s Athletics Awards Night on Tuesday, May 29, celebrated the accomplishments of all 19 Upper School sports and our student-athletes.

The Forese Family Fireplace Commons was filled with students, faculty, and family members who joined Athletic Director Mike West, Associate Athletic Director Jennifer Besgen, and Assistant Athletic Director Anna Knechtel to recognize the outstanding achievements of St. Luke's student-athletes and the community members who help them succeed.

The St. Luke’s Athletic Department took a look back at all three seasons to honor 37 team captains, student-athletes who received distinction for their play on the field, and the faculty who supported our Middle School and Upper School teams.

Thirty-seven three-sport athletes or team managers were recognized for their contributions across all three seasons.

Elizabeth Laub ‘18 and Maya Klein ‘18 both received the Athlete of Distinction award as they accumulated 12 Varsity letters during their years representing the Storm.

A special mention was given to the 15 college recruits who will continue to compete in the sports they love at the collegiate level next year.

The 200 attendees were treated to exquisite desserts provided by our parent support group, the Storm Chasers, and there was a live vote for the fan of the year which was won by Andrea Klein.
