St. Luke's Squash Teams Head To Nationals

The St. Luke’s Boys and Girls Varsity Squash teams both travel north on Friday, February 1, to compete in the2019 Head U.S. High School Team Squash Championships.

The Storm Boys will compete in Division VII and face Brookline High School from Massachusetts in the round of 16. Matches will take place at Suffield Academy, starting at 12:00pm.

The boys team has had a difficult season so far, with an overall record of 1-8. However, they have been extremely competitive in the majority of those matches. The Storm beat Staples High School and suffered narrow 3-4 losses to Rye Country Day School and King School and is hoping for a good run this weekend.

The St. Luke’s girls team will compete in Division III against Bryn Mawr Academy from Pennsylvania in the round of 16. Matches will take place at Wesleyan University and start at 8:00am.

The Storm girls team has been in impressive form, winning its last three matches against Staples High School, Rye Country Day School, and Darien High School, all by a score of 6-1. Heading into the Nationals, the team is 4-2 overall for the season and looking to continue its excellent run.
