Midnight Run: St. Luke’s Seniors Help the Homeless
On two winter nights, groups of St. Luke’s Class of 2020 piled into vans full of clothing, blankets, bags, toiletries, and food and headed to Manhattan to distribute the various items to homeless people. This late-night, chilly, yet rewarding, annual senior event would not have been possible without the generous donations from our School community.

St. Luke’s faculty advisors Camille DeMarco-Havens and Dale Griffa co-lead this 2020 Senior Class Community Service project. DeMarco-Havens shared a few special shoutouts to those who went above & beyond to make it happen:
- Volunteer chaperones at the NYC Midnight Runs— Vanessa Barros (sister of Troy Haynie), Sonia Bell, Dale Griffa, Troy Haynie, Janet Jochem, Mike Laskowski, (who chaperoned both nights), Chris Phelps, and Noel Thomas
- St. Luke’s parents, committee leaders, Midnight Run parent project leaders Lisa Delong and Ann Marie Beurle
- Seniors student project leaders
- FLIK Dining Services Director Chris Clark, FLIK Director Dan Greco (whose soup was a highlight) and the entire FLIK staff.
- St. Luke’s facilities team
- The entire St. Luke’s community for all the generous donations and support.
