#SLS_Creates: Be a Part of Visual Arts Week

V.Parker
Do you find yourself pulling out tucked away art supplies, turning doodles into full page drawings, exploring different artistic mediums, or taking creative photos? Perhaps you’ve decided during this time of social distancing that you want to take up drawing?

St. Luke’s Art Department invites you to participate in SLS Creates at Home in conjunction with the School’s upcoming Visual Arts Week (April 20-24).

During these days of social distancing, we’d like to bring the St. Luke’s community together through art—whether it’s a painting, photograph, sculpture, or another form of artwork.

Upper School Art Chair Sean Lynch shared, “This invitation is open to the entire St. Luke’s community, including students, faculty, staff, families, alumni, and trustees. We would love to see and share whatever creative endeavor that you have pursued during St. Luke’s at Home. Whether you’ve created it individually or with others, the artwork can include all mediums, such as woodworking, sculpture, poetry, music, or needlework. Anything that you have created is welcome.”

Please email an image or video of your artwork to lynchs@stlukesct.org. The deadline has been extended until Wednesday, April 22. If sharing on social media, use these hashtags: #SLS_Creates, #SLS_athome.
