Storm XC Finish Third at NEPSTA

The St. Luke’s cross country team continued its season at the New England Preparatory School Track Association race at the University of Maine at Augusta on Saturday, Nov. 13.

On a muddy course in Augusta, Maine, the Storm boys finished third overall in Division IV. Three St. Luke’s runners finished in the top 11 from a field of 136. 

Danny Gall ‘23 came in sixth overall with a time of 18:22. Will Drapkin ‘24 (18:38) crossed the line in ninth place and Brian Gall ‘23 (18:56) finished in 11th place. Brody Ebright ‘25 had another impressive race, and Colt Alford ‘22 finished fifth for St. Luke’s, helping the Storm claim the bronze team medal. Henry Robb ‘22 and Ephraim Gilrain-Lennon ‘25 ran for 6th and 7th in the team scoring

In the girls event, Jessica Hausman ‘22 capped off a terrific season for the Storm, finishing 10th overall with a time of 23:21. Hanna Zable ‘26 also had an excellent run on the difficult course. The eighth grader finished 27th overall with a time of 26.10 and is certainly one to watch in the future. Josephine Demarco ‘23 finished third for St. Luke’s with a time of 30:27.

Head Coach Corliss Spencer was thrilled with all her runners after the race: “I thought we performed extremely well and I am already looking forward to the All-Star meet this Saturday. This season has been a memorable one from the start and we have had many new runners across all four grades. The team size has also helped keep us motivated and form strong bonds and I am very proud of this group.”
