2024 Alumni Hockey Game

Alumni Office
On January 5, 2024, St. Luke’s welcomed 19 alums from the classes of 2015-2023 to SoNo Ice House for the Alumni Hockey Game.

The night began with St. Luke’s Director of Athletics & Physical Education, Anna Knechtel, welcoming everyone to the rink and leading a moment of silence for Teddy Balkind, whose jersey was retired last winter and is displayed above the home team’s bench. Both starting line-ups were then introduced by current student Grady Millones ‘25, before the game began.

The alumni team, dressed in vintage jerseys and coached by Henry Foster (brother of Will Foster ‘17 and George Foster ‘23), faced off against the current varsity team in an exciting matchup. The arena was packed with families, fans, and current students cheering on both teams. With the score tied at the end of regulation, they moved into a shootout where freshman Gavin Parsons scored the winning goal that gave the varsity team the final victory. Although the varsity team is the keeper of the cup for this year, we look forward to bringing this event back to the ice in the future, where alumni will have the opportunity to take the trophy home.
