Boys Varsity Squash traveled to Masters and found themselves locked in a battle. Making his debut in the starting lineup and unfazed by the pressure, Alex Hill scored first blood for the Storm. Chris Corcoran and Nihaal Kochar soon followed suit. Meanwhile, at the top of the lineup, veterans Stewart Upson and Will Drapkin struggled to gain a foothold in their matches, eventually falling in 4 and 3 games respectively. Jack Clavelli, in the #4 position, also found himself outgunned on the day. This left the overall match locked at 3-3 with captain Peter Lewis fighting from behind in his fifth and final game. Peter strung together a brilliant series of winning rallies, earning 4 match balls and seeming to have the match in hand for St. Luke’s. But it was not to be as he and the team lost by the narrowest possible margin in overtime. The Storm will spend the next week back on the practice court, preparing for a home match against King on the 29th and the busy month ahead.
