2022 Summer Programs for Grades 5 - 8

Art on the Hilltop

Ceramics. Create anything from expressive animal sculptures or masks to functional cups or bowls. Participants will learn or review the basics of the stages of clay, construction techniques, and glazing and embellishment options. 
Two-week course: June 21-24 and June 27-July 1, 2022

Art on the Hilltop

Contemporary Art. We’ll draw inspiration from some of today’s most exciting contemporary artists as we create paintings, sculptures, and more. We’ll end the week by curating a gallery installation of student work — and invite families to the exhibit opening.

Fiber Arts. Campers will take a deep dive into the fun and creative world of Fiber Art — dyeing wool, collaborating on large-scale weavings, sewing, spinning, and more!

Performing Arts. Students from grades 5 through 9 will dive into stage combat, scene study, improvisation, theatrical movement, make-up & costume design workshops.

Baseball Camp. From beginner to intermediate players. Led by St. Luke’s Varsity Baseball Coach.
Five one-week sessions available beginning June 21, 2022.

Basketball Camp. Designed for players ages 5-13 to learn the fundamentals of basketball, and the importance of teamwork, sportsmanship, and competitiveness. Led by St. Luke’s Girls Varsity Basketball Head Coach.

Camp LiveGirl@SLS designLab. Camp LiveGirl sets a course for girls to become confident, inclusive leaders in a fun, team-based environment. With designLab’s Kimberly Gerardi and hosted on St. Luke’s campus.

designLab Camp - All Fun and Games. Using the tools and materials available in the St. Luke's designLab, campers will use their play-based research to design and build their own outdoor game or adapt an existing game.

designLab Camp - Girls Who Code. Students learn how to code through creative projects such as app invention, quizzes and puzzles. Led by designLab’s Kimberly Gerardi.

Executive Function Skills for Middle Schoolers

Executive Function Skills for Middle Schoolers. Enhance your executive function (EF) skills, which are essential in successfully managing your academic and daily life. Learning these skills can help you become a better planner, a more organized student, and a more strategic test taker.
Two days beginning August 22, 2022 for 5th-6th grades and August 25, 2022 for 7th-8th grades.

Football Camp

Football Camp. This program is designed for players to have fun while learning the fundamentals of football. Non-contact experience and no pads or helmets. Led by St. Luke’s Varsity Football Coach.
Two one-week sessions available beginning June 27, 2022.

Middle School Math Camp

Middle School Math Camp. Solidify your understanding of key math concepts ahead of the new school year. Review basics while applying skills in the context of real-life activities.
One week beginning August 22-26, 2022.
Grades 5-8.

Middle School Online Math Academy

Middle School Online Math Academy. Offers review and enrichment courses for St. Luke’s students rising into 6th-8th grade who would like a little extra practice with their Math 5, Math 6, Pre-Algebra, or Algebra 1 class ahead of the new school year.
Self-paced, with optional weekly Zoom meeting time on Mondays, 9:00am-10:00am, June 27-August 15, 2022.

Multi-Sport Camp

Multi-Sport Camp. Unique multi-sport camp focusing on individual skill development as well as tactical and team strategies. Leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship are emphasized by an experienced coaching staff.

Squash Camp

St. Luke's Squash Club offers a series of week-long intensive squash camps for players of all levels.
